Polish Youth Team Cup 2018

Polish Youth Team Cup 2018 - friendly badminton tournament, the aim of which is a broad team competition that stimulates the activity of the badminton section and establishment of wider cooperation between domestic and foreign entities. The meeting takes place as a part of the training camp of the U13-19 national badminton team.

8 teams take part in the tournament - each of them has about 10 players. Young badminton players from Belarus, Latvia, and Slovakia will visit Lubin. In the case of teams from Poland, teams from Lower Silesia and Opole Province as well as Polish national team A and B will compete for the Polish Youth Team Cup.

The matches will be played out in 10 games: two women's and men' singles, two women's and men's doubles, and two mixed doubles.
The meeting will be played out in the following stages:
a)Stage I - teams play in two groups, "everyone with everyone";
b)Stage II - teams, which placed in their groups:

  • 4th - compete for the 7-8 place
  • 3rd - compete for the 5-6 place
  • 2nd - compete for the 3-4 place
  • 1st - compete for the 1-2 place

The tournament will take place between 27 and 29 of August 2018 in the sports hall of High School No. 2, at Niepodległości Avenue 31. The tournament starts on Monday (27 August) at 15:00. In the following days, the games will start at 10:00.

Admission to the hall is free. Additionally, the broadcast of the games will be available on YouTube (channel: Badminton Polska TV) - thanks to that, the eyes of many badminton enthusiasts will be directed at our city during the tournament.

The meeting is organized by the Lower Silesian Badminton Association, with the support of the KGHM Polska Miedź Foundation, District of Lubin Governor's Office, Polish Badminton Association and the "SPORT-ART." Association.
